How long are your cheese straws fresh?

I had a professional shelf-life study performed and all of my cheese straws have a 7 month shelf life. I sell them so quickly, they will have just been cooked when you receive your order. They very rarely sit on a shelf long. If you open them just make sure to close them up tight to keep the air out to keep them fresh and crunchy. They also freeze great so you can keep some in the freezer to have on hand when you need them. To thaw just set them out on the counter for 20 or so minutes and they are ready to eat. Some customers told me they even eat them straight from the freezer. 


When will I receive my order?

I am a small-batch artisan bakery. When you order you are pre-ordering. I plan the flavors I cook based off of current orders. I am not a large manufacturer with stock on the shelf ready to ship at all times. I mostly do all the baking, packaging and shipping by myself so please be kind with your feedback about shipping times. I do hire part-time help occassionaly to help with prep and packaging but prefer to work by myself. No one makes them like I do! All of my cheese straws are handmade and hand-packaged. Orders normally ship within a week but could take 2 or more weeks depending on what I currently have in stock, what you order and what flavors I am scheduled to cook the week you order. In addition, since covid, the supply chain has made getting ingredients timely more difficult and I only use specific premium ingredients. I do not substitute. I also attend festivals and shows where I sell my cheese straws so may be out of town for an extended amount of time when your order is placed which may delay shipping. I ship orders in the order they are received and very regularly keep a waiting list. I promise I am baking and shipping as quickly as possible. I experience a larger number of orders during the months of October, November and December so please allow extra times. While I will always do my absolute best to make sure you receive your order by the date needed, since my cheese straws are homemade in small batches I can not guarantee they will arrive by a certain date. But I promise the wait is worth the taste. You can always freeze them to save for later. The shipping time that is shown when you checkout is the estimated shipping time generated by USPS or UPS once order is shipped. It is not the time your order will be delivered to you once you place your order. 


How can I track my order?

You will receive an email and/or text confirmation when you place your order and another email when your order ships with tracking number. If you do not, please check your spam email account. You can also create an account on my website in the top left hand corner and log in at anytime to see all orders and tracking numbers. 


What if I need my order by a certain date?

Please leave me a message in the box provided for special instructions located at the bottom of the page in your cart and I will do my best to get them to you by the date requested. I will email you to let you know I received your message and confirm the date needed. Great cheese straws freeze GREAT in the containers. Buy an extra or two, stick the whole container in the freezer then you will have some for unexpected guests or last minute entertaining. 


How do I get in touch with you?

I am in the bakery cooking every day.  Please email me at and I will get back with you as soon as possible.


What if I want you to cancel and refund my order?

When you place an order on my website, your credit card is automatically charged. I do not have the capabilities of capturing the payment then charging when shipped. I apologize if this is a problem. I am a very small business so do not have the resources available to larger businesses. You can always request a refund. See the page "Cancel Order/Refunds" on my website. There is a link to cancel your order and receive a refund. This is done automatically by my website.


What if I want to send/gift your cheese straws to multiple addresses? 

Create an Account at the top left of my website. This will allow you to save your address as the billing address and add different shipping addresses. All of your shipping addresses will be saved to your account so you can use them again. You will have to place a separate order for each shipping address. Make sure to leave your name and address as the billing address but change the shipping address, and I will mail your order to the recipient for you. Only a packing slip with sender name (without price) and gift note as typed in the box at the bottom of the page in your cart is included in shipments.


What if my order status shows as delivered via USPS but I have not received my order? 

I personally pack all orders and deliver them to USPS. Once they are delivered to USPS, it is out of my control. Please contact your postman or post office directly with any problems. Per USPS website, if your tracking information shows that your package was delivered but you can't find it:

  • Carrier may have placed it in a safer location, please check:

    • Mailbox

    • Porch

    • Garage

    • Any area out of potential weather hazards

    • Exterior doors and any locations where the package could be placed

  • Check your mailbox again as some packages come separately from your regular mail.

  • Check with others in your house that may have accepted it.

  • In rare cases, package may show as 'delivered' but could take additional 24 hours.
